Women’s Ministry

The purpose of Mountain Chapel Women’s Ministry is to develop a caring community of women devoted to Jesus Christ.

A community of women built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ fulfills a vital role within the church. 

  • Community is where we find acceptance and belonging.
  • Developing deep, godly relationships with other women helps us grow in our faith.
  • Women of faith understand the need to encourage, nurture and support one another.

    Mountain Chapel Women’s Ministries welcomes women of all ages and stages of life. There are Bible studies, small groups and other special events going on throughout the year.     Bible Studies
    There are several ongoing Bible studies for women which meet throughout the week. For the most current listing of studies, meeting days/times, please refer to the weekly Messenger newsletter, Sunday worship bulletin or the women’s monthly newsletter.

Tablescapes
An every other year fundraising event where women within the church decorate tables in the gym to benefit selected organizations. Women from Mountain Chapel and the surrounding community come to enjoy a catered dinner and hear an inspirational message from a guest speaker.

United Methodist Women
This group is organized for women of all ages seeking to serve God, grow in their faith and connect with other women. The large group is divided into small groups, known as “circles”, which are made up of women in similar stages of life. Circles meet on a monthly basis either during the day or evening, and on or off campus. Mountain Chapel UMW supports various organizations such as Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank, Camp Sumatanga, Grace House and the United Methodist Children’s Home.

Women’s Annual Retreat
This annual weekend conference is designed to refresh and rekindle your walk with God through Bible study, worship, prayer and fellowship. The retreat begins on Friday evening and concludes Sunday morning. Retreats are normally held off campus at a nearby conference center and are geared for women of all ages. Brochures and registration cards are available each November in the church office.
